Immensely enjoyable and unique! Nothing says Amsterdam like tooling around the canals on your own boat! The reservation system was easy while the staff, training, and setup were quick. The motors are small electric motors (no fumes!) so they move slow but that is totally fine: going slow is better for navigating the canals as an inexperienced tourist...plus, it is more peaceful and enjoyable for savoring the experience. Highly recommended!

Divertente e rilassante giro in barca lungo i canali. Le imbarcazioni sono molto semplici da manovrare e seguendo gli spostamenti con Google Maps è impossibile perdersi.

Top Preis, super netter Service vor Ort und bei der Reservierung über das Telefon. Boote lassen sich gut fahren und Geschwindigkeit ausreichend. Ein tolles Erlebnis was man unbedingt machen sollte.

It was an amazing experience for us. I arranged this tour for my friends. He was planning to propose so we thought that it would be lovely while going through the canals. But there were some problems in the morning and we were 1 and half hour late. I explained the responsible guy the situation and he asked us to extend it one and half hour and it was amazing for them as well. After proposal I left them alone to have more romantic hours together. I wanted to thank you Boaty again having such a kind and sensible employees. Also starting point of the tour is very center of Amsterdam. I will be always choosing boaty for those kind of plans of mine with friends for the future .

Wederom (4e keer) een fijne boottocht gemaakt met Boaty. Kreeg 4 uur van tevoren de mogelijkheid om kosteloos af te zeggen of de reservering te wijzigen in verband met verwachte regen en onweer. Dit is echt Super VIJF sterren service. De medewerkers van Boaty zijn allemaal zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

We rented a boat from Boaty in late April. They were extremely helpful and professional. People have noted that the boat is somewhat slow, and that’s true. Particularly as you travel from pick up to the main touring canals. However, once you get to the main canals, you go as fast as you would want, and you’re right there with all the tour boats. If you have time, this is a great option. We had some issues with wind on our day, and they worked with us extremely well. Would recommend.

Easy rental process, friendly staff, and fun little boats. Not the fastest or the biggest rental boats available, but you can't beat the price and they are easy and intuitive to operate with everything you need for an amazing time. There's no better way to see the city. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Amsterdam!

We rented a boat for 3h, from 4-7PMThe fully electric boat is operated with steer and speed handle and requires no boat license to operate (but it sure helps if you are aware of basic physics if you navigate the more narrow grachten).Top speed is 5km/h and we were able to explore a wide area of the waterways in Amsterdam with the map they provided us with. The time estimates are a pretty good gage to see how long you will need back, though we deviated from the main tours to explore a little.Great for two people, even better for up to six friends and you can pack some snacks and drinks to enjoy on the water

Seher günstig für 3h. 3h sind etwas zu viel wir haben das Boot nach 2h 30 zurück gebracht. Eine schöne Methode Amsterdam zu erkunden. Das Perspnal war freundlich und hat uns bestens über die Wege und Schilder informiert.

Fed up with being treated like sheep on one of those long tour boats that only take you out for an hour? Well, Boaty in Amsterdam is your answer! You can go our for three or four hours at your own pace, where ever you want to go and you pick your fellow passengers, six, total. Boats are easy to operate. Just make sure your smartphone has enough charge to show you where you are, to cross check the map, because it's easy to make a wrong turn. The Boaty people are great and you'll be unique among your friends who only come to Amsterdam and do the usual touristy things! The skipper needs to stay completely sober, though, and assume that others on the canals don't necessarily pay attention.

Visiting Amsterdam by boat is totally awesome and worth the money.Boaty has good prices, but the downside is that the boat was really really really slow so we could only do one tour in four hours that was supposed to take two hours. Anyway, recommend!

Good service, boats are quite slow, but its has a fair price for 3 hours. The bad things is that the boat was missing night lights, we were stopped by the police and told to use our phones light

Fantastic way to spend a sunday afternoon. After having done several cana tours over the years, this is a far more interesting way to explore the city.Boats are slow and the seats are not comfortable. Nothing to lean on. But it was still a great experience and definitely recommend it.

Really quite enjoyed steering our way around the canals by night. Shame that we were given a map, with barely a briefing to only discover later that three of the marked routes on the map were blocked so we had to turn around and find another way back. The female member of staff would be better suited to a job that doesn't involved dealing with people.

Cheap price but really slow boats. The speed was less than 4 km/h (measurement at the bridge showed 3 and the Garmin track 3.8km/h) Other Charter boats were faster and the suggested routes on the map with this Speed not possible.

Vorsicht: Kaution wurde nicht zurückerstattet.Von Buchung, über Service vor Ort (Einweisung etc.), bis zur Fahrt war alles in Ordnung.ABER: Vor Ort müssen noch 100€ Kaution per Kreditkarte hinterlegt werden, die nach 7 Werktagen zurückerstattet werden sollten. Auch nach 3 Wochen wurde mir die Kaution nicht zurückerstattet! In mehrmaligen Nachfragen per Mail wurde seitens Veranstalter versichert, dass sich um das Anliegen gekümmert wird. Der Vollständigkeit halber: Das Boot wurde natürlich ohne Mängel zurückgegeben.

Last Saturday, September 7th, I booked 269578 for 3 people.I arrived at the place at around 12.05 p.m. with my two Brazilian friends who don't live here and were visiting. I was very well looked after and received a clear explanation of how the boat works. Everything was very simple and efficient, really very good.However, as we started the journey towards the Amstel River, we thought the boat was a bit slow and we realized that it was when another Boaty boat passed us. I initially tried to contact them by phone as instructed, but the voice message was that the phone was switched off. So we decided to go back to base because it wasn't that far away. As a reference, I marked on the map with the number 1 where we managed to get to on this first stage and, for information, getting there and back took 1 hour out of the 3 hours we had booked.When we arrived at the dock, we explained the situation and were offered a new boat to complete the remaining 2 hours. We changed boats and changed routes, but unfortunately once again the boat wasn't performing and other Boaty boats passed us by. For reference, I marked as number 2 how far we got (a little after the Rijksmuseum) after 35-40 minutes or so and we decided to turn back, because we figured it wouldn't be possible to get to the dock in time given the boat's slow speed.Unfortunately, it was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience for me and my friends who were visiting. We scheduled it because the day was wonderful and ended the afternoon extremely disappointed, to the point that we delivered the boat before the contracted 3 o'clock. We tried changing boats, changing positions on the boat and nothing made sense. All three of us are talking about about 280kg and we've seen boats with more people and possibly more weight with much better performance.

I don't understand how they score so highly. I've rented a boat before in Amsterdam and thought we'd try these guys. We were 6 people and we got a boat that was slower than some of the ducks on the canals. When we got back, the staff were disinterested in helping us tie up the boat or acknowledging our complaint. All this for 140 euros. Watch out.

Ich kann Boaty wirklich nur weiterempfehlen! Eine super liebe Mitarbeiterin hat uns am 11.9 bestens in das Boot eingewiesen und uns die möglichen Touren empfohlen. Das Gedamtpaket stimmt einfach. Wir hatten 3 Stunden unsere Privatsphäre auf dem Wasser in einer so belebten Stadt und konnten gleichzeitig Sightseeing machen. Der Preis ist allemal gerechtfertigt - besonders cool ist auch, dass Verpflegung mitgenommen werden darf 🚤💙I can only recommend Boaty! A really nice colleague gave us a good introduction to the boat on the 11th September and recommended the possible tours to us. The whole trip was amazing. We had 3 hours of privacy on the water in such a busy city while sightseeing at the same time. The price is definitely justified - it is also particularly cool that you can take food with you 🚤💙

it's a great place to rent a boat and see the sights from the water. Also to explore the architecture of the suburbs. You can stop off and pick up some food and drink from places like Hanneke's Boom or the Waterkant. And, by the way, they are the least expensive boot rental company.

I've probably recommended Boaty over 100 times to friends, family, and complete strangers - really, anyone who will listen. The boat trip we took a few years ago (my mom, my boyfriend, and me) was charming and fun and for sure the highlight of that particular visit to Europe. The price for that experience seemed to be a reasonable value, even split among just three people. I loved the thrill of determining our own path (using the Boaty map), figuring how to navigate the boat, and exploring at our own, slow pace with conversations instead of listening to commentary. We had some funny moments and bonded over our (my) minor mishaps (two very slow 360s on the Amstel) 😎

We had a great time on our boaty last month with family over, I have just booked our next one for July!!Much cheaper then other rental companies in Amsterdam! Slightly smaller boat but easier to steer. Can't wait for our next adventure on the canals! Best way to see the city, we even got a sneaky view of the giraffes and elephants� at artis �

Top geregeld! Van te voren gereserveerd, van 10 tot 13. Prima tijden want nog niet zo druk op het water. Eerste stukje mooi oefenen op een rustig stukje. Aardige medewerkers, duidelijk, korte uitleg.

Had a Fantastic time renting a boat from Boaty tonight. Guido did a great job of explaining all the rules and giving us the best tips on where to go and what to see. The rates were very reasonable, the boat worked great, was perfect for our family of four. Very relaxing, brought drinks and snacks - highly recommend Boaty - Thanks again Guido, we had a wonderful time. :-)
